Immediate Dental Implants

Restore Your Smile and Tooth Function in Less Time

Immediate dental implants are a modern solution for replacing missing teeth. In selected cases, the dental implant can be placed immediately after tooth extraction, helping reduce the number of treatment stages and visits compared with conventional implant procedures.

Each case is carefully evaluated through a clinical examination and appropriate imaging to determine whether immediate implantation is suitable. When appropriate, the implant is placed according to a personalized treatment plan.

What Are Immediate Dental Implants?

Immediate dental implantation is a procedure in which a dental implant is placed directly into the extraction socket during the same appointment as tooth removal, when the bone and gum conditions are suitable.

In some cases, a temporary restoration may also be placed on the implant while the implant heals. The final crown is placed after the implant has successfully integrated with the jawbone.

When Are Immediate Implants Suitable?

Immediate implants may be considered in cases such as:

  • Teeth that are severely damaged or cannot be restored.
  • Tooth loss caused by trauma or injury.
  • Teeth requiring extraction due to extensive damage.
  • Sufficient bone quality and volume to support the implant.
  • Cases where good initial implant stability can be achieved.

The suitability of immediate implantation depends on the individual case, bone condition, gum health, and clinical assessment. Not every patient is a candidate for immediate implantation.

Benefits of Immediate Dental Implants

  • Reduces treatment time in suitable cases.
  • May reduce the number of dental visits and procedures.
  • Helps maintain the natural appearance of the gum and surrounding tissues.
  • Allows faster restoration of the smile.
  • Helps restore chewing and speaking function.
  • Provides a stable and long-term solution for missing teeth.

Immediate Implant Procedure

1. Consultation & Assessment

Your teeth, gums, and jawbone are carefully examined, with the necessary X-rays or scans used to develop an appropriate treatment plan.

2. Tooth Extraction

The damaged tooth is carefully removed while preserving the surrounding bone and gum tissue as much as possible.

3. Implant Placement

If the case is suitable, the dental implant is placed immediately into the extraction socket.

4. Temporary Restoration

In selected cases, a temporary restoration may be placed to maintain the appearance and function of the smile during the healing period.

5. Final Restoration

Once the implant has successfully integrated with the jawbone, a custom-made permanent crown is placed to match the surrounding natural teeth.
